Visit to the Modernist Reus

If you are one of those who love modernist architecture, a walk through Reus will leave you very satisfied! As you know, there are doubts about whether Antoni Gaudí was born in the capital of Baix Camp or in the neighbouring town of Riudoms.

What is clear is that the brilliant architect spent his childhood and youth in Reus, but no building in the city bears his signature. Despite this singular fact, the city known as "the city of shopping" boils with modernism everywhere, a sign of the cultural and commercial effervescence that existed in Reus at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th.

On this tour, we will take a walk along the modernist route of Reus. We will see from the outside modernist houses such as Casa Rull i Gasull by Domenech i Montaner or Casa Serra by Rubió i Bellver. We will also see Gaudí's birthplace, the Town Hall and visit the Gaudí Centre (the best Gaudí museum in the world, price 10€ not included).

Along the way, some restaurants in both towns will also be recommended so that you can sample the best dishes of the province's gastronomy.
